JF Charity is involved in assisting homeless people in Toronto through the provision of food, clothing and hygiene items while bringing community awareness to their situation and needs.
Our aim is to become an ambassador for change and help to make homeless people feel cared for.Despite sporadic success in battling homelessness in Canada, 30,000 Canadians are homeless every night, and 150,000 Canadians every year. In Toronto, about 5,500 people are estimated to be homeless. Our various drives provides sustainable support for the homeless people of the Greater Toronto Area.
Our Approach
Street Outreach
Street outreach enables JF Charity reach out to unsheltered homeless people in the streets of downtown Toronto, connecting them with emergency shelters and providing homeless people food, clothing and hygiene support.
Where We Do Our Outreach
I am extremely thankful to be living in a multicultural and diverse city like Toronto. Despite lots of positive things about Toronto, one of the things I noticed moving here in 2015 was the high rate of homeless people especially in Toronto Downtown core.
Working in the non profit sector I felt I had a part to play to help assist the most vulnerable people in Toronto and in 2016 I launched a homeless campaign to provide food, clothing and hygiene items to homeless people in Toronto.
Since 2016, JF Charity has impacted the lives of over 10,000 homeless people through providing food, clothing and hygiene items.
Our goal is to continue to assist the most vulnerable people in Toronto with the support of our donors and volunteers.
Sincerely,
